Have courage or Sapere aude! | 100 x 100 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2017 - 2020 | price on request

Have the courage to use your own mind. Have courage to communicate freely your understanding of an open-minded society that welcomes “other” (!?) people. Do not close your eyes to the truth that your heart has already recognized. Open your mouth and speak this truth, regardless of the opinion of those who do not recognize it and want to close it forever in their hearts. This work is addressed to the public with an appeal. Like Munch’s cry, it implies the feeling of taking the heavy burden off one’s shoulders, breaking out, and freeing oneself from all the negative influences around oneself. The content includes the political positioning of courageously standing up for a social, equal, humane society and becoming aware of this courage every day.

Human being or Being human | 100 x 140 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2017 - 2022 | price on request

To be a human being or to act as a human being – a fundamental difference that many people may not recognize. If the former refers to the mere existence of Homo sapiens, the second fills the same with life, attitude, charity, tolerance and willingness to help. Humanity refers to the attributes that distinguish our kind from animals. However, if you look at animal interactions, you can see more social behavior than at many borders or AfD offices (right-wing populist movement). “Human being or Being Human” is meant to remind the recipient that life is not about viewing its existence on this planet as God-given, but about acting with other human beings in such a way that divine grace, gentleness and goodness resonate in that behavior.

We come or Welcome | 100 x 100 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2017 - 2022 | price on request

Welcoming people and integrating them into a warm atmosphere of cultural fusion and charity should be an indisputable matter of course in the context of human interaction. This composition looks specifically at the theme of “refuge and integration”. On the one hand, the viewer of the political work adopts the viewpoint of the refugees: “We are coming” – with hope, love, joy of life, numerous stories, homelessness, suffering, sadness, pain and the intention to integrate into a new culture and start all over again in life in the luggage! On the other hand, the recipient warmly welcomes the refugee – a wishful thinking that may eventually become reality and normality – and offers him protection, love, friendship, a future, appreciation and a sense of belonging.

Justice in the Heart | 100 x 140 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2018 - 2022 | price on request

Justice – a human virtue that one has to search intensively for in our society today. Meeting foreign cultures without prejudice and, above all, in a value-neutral way should be an absolute matter of course in our globalized world, where people are able to travel to the most distant countries for the smallest amount of money. Unfortunately, the dark thinking that poisons people’s hearts and overshadows their sense of justice and mercy with negative connotations is spreading in many countries. The German citizens, who should face the danger of a racist and discriminatory worldview due to the brown history of their country, are sensitized by the work “Justice in the Heart” for a positive and humane attitude towards the ” foreigner”.

Don't touch me! | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2018 - 2022 | price on request

“Don’t touch me…!” – a sentence that probably every woman has had to use at least once in her life. Gender discrimination, or sexism, is a topic charged with the suffering of countless people, and its current relevance cannot be placed urgently enough in the focus of public discourse. A different social status, an associated excessive injustice, malicious stereotypes that come with negative connotations and in the worst case: sexual harassment, assault and an unjustified demonstration and exercise of power on the part of the male gender. To deny that women are subject to omnipresent discrimination can be aptly defined by the term ” stupid narrow-mindedness.” “Don’t touch me!” is the unmistakable cry of an entire generation that we, as a “society of the future”, hope to be able to hear once and for all.

Equality | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2019 - 2022 | price on request

Equality. Human dignity. Self-determination. The concept of feminism is constantly being redefined as part of the current discourse in the context of the MeToo movement. However, its inherent values are irrevocable and firmly established in global social movements that question the existing gender order and the rightness of the discriminatory and hierarchical system associated with it. Equality. Human dignity. Self-determination. Three idealistic ideas that women in a modern, globalized and above all enlightened world should no longer have to fight for, since they should actually be based on a self-understanding in this day and age that is no longer questioned by men. “Equality” reflects the innermost wish that these three values – without any struggle or scandals – should be granted to every human being.

She-World | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2018 - 2022 | price on request

A matriarchal world, in which the social order is primarily shaped by women and in which they are given a central role in the construction of cultural, social and moral structures, can be understood as a reflection of the currently prevailing patriarchy. Values and norms that have been established through the “rule of man” and that have become firmly integrated into today’s concept of the world are questioned and revised in the seemingly utopian matriarchy. In this composition, that counteracts structural discrimination, several works of profound content have been incorporated, which in their entirety form a tribute to the women of this world. Respect and appreciation for the truly strong sex are written in capital letters in “She-World”.
