La Mélodie De Ma Vie | 80 x 130 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2021 | price on request
Every person should be the director of his or her own life. Each person should compose his own quite magical and enchanting melody. “La Mélodie De Ma Vie” is one of my most personal and meaningful works for me. This painting traces the ups and downs that I have experienced to date, that have shaped me, and that have allowed me to become the artist that I am today. This painting reflects pure gratitude for every event, for every encounter and for every second that was given to me. Again, it was an accident to show me that nothing in life – and certainly not life itself – should be taken for granted. As the saying goes: C’est la vie!
La Femme En Rouge | 80 x 130 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2021 | price on request
The woman in the red dress combines beauty, elegance, intelligence, strength of character, femininity and masculinity. She dances lightheartedly and freely of the night to the intoxicating sounds of French chansons under an emerald starry sky full of moments of
golden light. Her shimmering silhouette triggers pure euphoria and infatuation in the viewer and makes his heart beat noticeably faster. “La Femme En Rouge” not only transports great feelings – it is a painting that may be understood as Schwien’s emotional masterpiece. The woman in red will never fall silent. She will continue to dance forever.
La Vie En Rose | 80 x 130 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2021 | price on request
The life of a true artist is characterized by deep black moments of sorrow and pain as well as angelic light moments of happiness, love and joy. Both extremes are essential to a holotic creative process that moves the recipient to tears. With “La Vie En Rose,” Schwien has created a work that not only depicts the highs and lows of a fulfilled life, but also allows the viewer to relive the significant and defining moments of his or her own being. Many tears of sadness, but also of all-encompassing joy, tangential to the innermost layer of the emotional
world, have flowed into this work of art. Édith Piaf and Steffen Schwien let you see life through rose-colored glasses – without distorting reality.
Le Jour | 100 x 120 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2021 | sold
A new day is dawning. The sun rises. The clouds clear to reveal a deep blue virgin sky. The birds greet you with a lively melody. The still dewy scent of the lush green grass enters your nose. Each morning, people are born all over again and are allowed to explore the numerous fascinations of their own little universe anew every day. Schwien has let all the power and magic of the beginning – as already described by Hermann Hesse in “Stufen” – flow into this composition. “Le Jour” has an invigorating effect on the recipient. When contemplating the work, he is reminded of the millions and millions of miracles that surround him every day and make his own life worth living.
La Nuit | 100 x 120 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2021 | price on request
Pearls of sweet stardust form on the colorful canvas. Speckled with millions of experiences that we may perceive at night with closed eyes, this composition itself appears like the manifestation of a dream. In the center of the painting, the guardian of sleep enthrones the sensual expanses of our consciousness. Like a loving shepherd, he guides us through even the most vivid scenes of our mind. The radiance that emanates from “La Nuit” and whose glow has a calming effect on the recipient is created within the painting. This composition remains constantly in motion, like the dream perpetuum mobile that we are privileged to experience night after night.
