View into infinity | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2022 | price on request

The darkness of the universe, the glow of the Milky Way, the sparkle of the sea of stars – a glance at the sky is enough to comprehend the infinity of existence. Our own existence seems insignificant and small compared to the silken curtain of darkness and light that stretches over our heads. The certainty that we are all connected to each other, that we come from nothing and go back to nothing, that we live and die, die and live, allows gratitude to arise within and peace to germinate in the heart. One look is enough and a certainty arises that nothing is infinite except life itself.

Wing dance in twilight haze | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2022 | price on request

Floating and graceful, the African water birds glide through a feather-light curtain of evening mood and romance, performing a dance as ancient as life. They follow a pattern that is firmly anchored in their senses, drifting on waves of rapture and enjoying this one moment in its perfection. They are attracted by a magnet-like force whose center lies in a bright haze – hidden from the eyes of the observer. Freedom lies in the air. Lightheartedness is breathed in. Serenity sets in. The duality of the moment, so fleeting and yet so infinite, suddenly appears tangible and real.

Catalog of stars | 70 x 70 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2022 | price on request

Myriads of twinkling stars shine in the nocturnal firmament and bring joy, consciousness and hope to the observer. The infinity of being is reflected in the infinity of the universe. The sea of stars, which carefully lights up the scenery like a silent spectator, invites the thoughts to circle and to let oneself be carried away in the maelstrom of inspiration. Where does the path of knowledge lead once the earthly path ends? The stars seem to take you by the hand and guide you gently. You do not depart from your own way, but run safely into the harbor of infinity.

Metamorphosis | 70 x 70 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2022 | sold

The transformation begins, but is never finished: An ever-forging process that everyone has to go through, that starts with the first breath and ends with the very last. To grow, to move and to blossom – no matter in which form – can be understood as the basis of being. A clearly discerning person cannot be satisfied with stagnation and monotony. S/he is in search of change, is hungry for enlightenment and thirsty for the excitement of life. In the shadow of knowledge a child is born, who grows up, searches and in the light of the sun is able to find what everyone desires. “Metamorphosis” begins in the minutiae and ends in the grandeur. It is a constantly changing work that pours over the beach of consciousness like an ocean wave.

High Notes | 120 x 120 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2022 | price on request

The high tones of life are ascribed an equally important position in this composition as the low tones, which essentially enrich our existence. Without shadows, we would not perceive at all the brightness that warms our heart while lovingly enveloping us. “High Notes” is intended to encourage the viewer to visualize the wave-like structures of his own life before his inner eye. Each up and down must be attributed a grateful feeling, as this change of emotional states has brought about a development in us that has made us the person we are today.

Hiding from the world in a glass house | 50 x 60 cm | acrylic on canvas | 2023 | price on request

Life is a single building site. The first stone is laid at birth, the supposedly last shingle falls with death. In between, your own personality shapes the appearance of your emotional retreat. Some people want to lock away their innermost secrets in an emotional prison. They want to hide themselves away and let the daily clouds, their everyday existence, pass them by. In the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to forget that they are chasing an escapist utopia that is as far removed from reality as the love of the heart is from a hateful ideology. We are all sitting in a glass house, shutting ourselves off from the world with its colorful, dark and always multi-layered facets and ignoring one omnipresent truth: we are not alone.
